NSCAD Thesis Guide

Welcome to the Theses Subject Guide

This guide is a starting point for

  1. finding theses from NSCAD and around the world, and
  2. submitting your NSCAD Master's thesis to the NSCAD Library once it has been defended and accepted.

What is a thesis?

thesis (plural: theses) is the generic term for a long essay or work on a specific subject involving personal research written by a candidate for a degree. The term dissertation is sometimes used (most commonly in North America) to distinguish between a master’s thesis and a doctoral dissertation.

Theses and dissertations are valuable sources of highly specialized information - information that is not indexed in most commercial databases or available through search engines.
