Annotated BibliographyHere you will find very brief annotations on the readings you are being asked to discuss this semester. In order to help you decide which week you would like to be 'facilitator', I suggest you read through the annotations to see if any topic is of particular interest to you, or has resonance with work you are currently doing or expect to make.
November 9 and 16 offer the most 'challenging' readings: Dyer's "The Light of the World" is not particularly tough but is long; Michael Taussig's 'What Color is the Sacred?' is written in a manner that may feel unfamiliar. My suggestion is that our two grad students each take one of these weeks, however anyone who is interested is welcome to sign up for Nov 9 or 23.
