Grey literature is literature produced by any organisation whose main purpose is other than publishing, such as governments, businesses, not-for-profits, health organisations and associations, and more. Since these organizations are outside the publishing model their publications are not usually indexed with traditional databases making searching for grey literature difficult.
Data can often be retrieved by smaller geographical areas such as province or territory, municipality, health regions, or census divisions.
